SEMESTER 1 ASSIGNMENTS

Sem 1 - Year 1


These modules will expose students to theories of conceptualizing and problem-solving and develop their Architectural abilities via a range of activities that simulate and encapsulate ‘real-world’ settings. This module also encourages students to broaden their ideas and thought processes and techniques related to design and creative thinking strategies.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO 1

For our introduction to the architectural studio and its culture, we had to perform a number of Assignments all related to expanding our architectural technical skills and considerations when designing.

DESIGN COMMUNICATION

I was required to execute a number of different design assignments and pieces employing various tools, methods, and techniques. Exploring my options and having fun along the way with design thinking.

ARCHITECTURE HISTORY AND THEORY

Show an understanding of Architecture through the various historical stages, performing detailed analyses' and studies on selected buildings in different time periods to show the depth of knowledge.

SEMESTER 1.5 ASSIGNMENTS

Sem 1.5 - Year 1

The module introduces the components of environmental conditions and issues. It focuses on human intervention affecting the environment both positively and negatively and the relationship of buildings with the natural system. Students will be introduced to basic environmental awareness through lectures and discussions.

ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENT

This module had us primarily explore the concepts of Natural and Artificial lighting as well as Thermal comfort in buildings. Fundamentals of building comfort and building our design narrative became the foundations of our Assignments throughout the class.

Sem 2 - Year 1
